In this 3 hrs intense workshop you will learn the basics
techniques of
-slab building,
-pinching and
-coiling.
Moreover you will understand the importance of the choice of a
good base size of each technique.
After this introduction with its different benefits and
drawbacks you may choose a technique to realize a personal
small to medium sized project.
This piece will be unglazed, but there are options to color
your piece with another clay color type. The outcome will be
matte.
As an example, you will create a work that can be your own
abstract or figurative art work, or a box (round or squared)
with lid and textures or a sculptural pair of
candleholders.
This introductory class will not limit you to finalize an
outcome. If you find yourself catching your idea, you are more
than welcome to continue your work in the open clay
sessions.
Glazing and texturing will be a new path in case you will want
to explore the appearnce of your art work.
you can choose to continue in those open sessions every friday
or wednesday,with an additional booking.
